The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Aircraft, first published between 1981 and 1985, covers the entire history of aviation, from the Wright Brothers to the Space Shuttle. Produced in 216 lavishly illustrated weekly parts, the 4,280 editorial pages include more than 6,000 photographs, 2,000 colour profile drawings, 200 technical cutaway drawings and 214 detailed three-view artworks. One of the most successful partworks ever published, it has appeared in 6 languages and in more than 20 countries.
